Internship — Requirements & Application Details
At NAYI RAHEIN, our internship program gives motivated students and recent graduates an opportunity to gain practical experience in the non-profit sector while contributing to meaningful community projects.
Program Overview
Internships are offered across multiple tracks (Community Development, Digital & Communications, Research & Documentation). Interns work on real projects, report to a supervisor, and receive mentorship throughout their placement.
Duration & Time Commitment
- Flexible durations: 1 month (short-term), 3 months (standard), 6 months (extended)
- Work days: Minimum 4 days per week (remote/hybrid options may be available)
- Daily hours: 4–6 hours (part-time) or as agreed with supervisor
Stipend & Support
Some internships may offer a modest stipend or travel reimbursement depending on the project and budget. Certificate of completion and a reference letter are provided on successful completion.
Roles & Responsibilities (example)
- Community Development: Assist field staff with community surveys, awareness events, beneficiary communication, and reporting.
- Digital & Communications: Create content, manage social media, support website updates, design basic graphics, and assist with campaigns.
- Research & Documentation: Help collect data, prepare case studies, draft reports, and support monitoring & evaluation activities.
Eligibility (requirements)
- Be currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an undergraduate/graduate program.
- Strong communication skills in English and Hindi (preferred).
- Basic computer skills: MS Office / Google Workspace; familiarity with social media platforms.
- Ability to commit to the agreed schedule and attend necessary meetings.
- Good interpersonal skills and a collaborative attitude.
Preferred Skills (not mandatory)
- Experience with content creation, basic graphic design (Canva), or WordPress.
- Statistical/analytical skills for research roles (Excel, Google Sheets).
- Prior volunteering or NGO/project experience.

Selection Process

- Telephonic or video interview with the program lead.
- Final selection and onboarding (orientation & agreement on tasks).
